Harry Winston the Roan Cocker Spaniel

In case his name doesn’t give it away, Harry Winston is a love and maybe a little pampered. (But any good dog should be, right?:)) I met Harry and his mom last week for our dog session and had such a fabulous time! He is about 10 months old and such a gorgeous little boy. So gorgeous in fact, he is already entering AKC competitions. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

This hangs above his bed – very fitting for Prince Pouffy Paws (one of his nicknames!)

I can’t stop looking at the first picture. My little one just melts my heart. Small correction, he goes with his groomer to compete in grooming competitions because of his markings and does come from a strong line of champions, but can not compete on the AKC level due to a very minor overbite. He is my “Diamond in the Ruff” (his official name).

Rest in Peace, Dallas

Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really. -Agnes Sligh Turnbull

Isn’t that the truth? I found out this morning, that sweet, spunky Dallas – a Weimaraner Lab mix – was put to peace yesterday. I was fortunate enough to photograph her with her family this past November and I’m so glad to have met her. She had such beautiful markings and playful ears and the best demeanor. Dallas – may you have open fields to run and an endless supply of baked chicken and Cheerios (her favorite treat). I know you are greatly missed.

We are so incredibly blessed to have companions as perfect as dogs. Be sure to give yours extra hugs and kisses today.

What a sweet girl! They are lucky to have photos like that to cherish. Things like that make me really cherish our sweet girls. Thanks for sharing a sad (but beautiful) post!

Andie - March 17, 2010 - 6:43 pm

My thoughts and prayers are with that family right now. Loosing a cherished companion is such a hard loss.

Kerri - March 17, 2010 - 9:13 pm

Thanks Adrian for the lovely post. Dallas would be so pleased. She was an ever faithful companion that made us laugh and love. While we are terribly saddened, we are so grateful to have shared our lives with her.

olesia - March 18, 2010 - 7:00 am

My heart goes out to you having to say good bye to your little girl. God Speed Dallas !

Linda - March 18, 2010 - 8:51 am

Dallas was a beautiful girl and the photos are truly lovely. My heart breaks for her family. Fly like the wind Dallas…

Dog Wisdom – Roan Cocker Spaniel

When he just sits loving and knows that he is being loved, those are the moments that I think are precious to a dog; when, with his adoring soul coming through his eyes, he feels that you are really thinking of him. - John Glasworthy

I wish for more moments like Andie and Harry Winston are enjoying. Afternoons spent on the water under the warm sun with my pup. Does life get any better?:)

Puppy Fever! – Pet Photography

If you have visited our dog blog recently, you’ve noticed I’ve shared a few puppy photos. Well, what better way to start your week than with more cute, adoptable puppies? (I can think of nothing better!) All of these puppies are from Love at First Sight puppy and kitten adoption center. Feel free to drop by if you are ready to add a dog to your family!

First up, are these sweet Boxer mix litter mates. Brand new to the world and awaiting their home.

Toby. I love his little scruff!

Mini. Sweet little thing she is.

Rosie. Photo shoots are tiring work!

Wilbur hanging out with his sister Rosie. Love his spotted nose!

Cinderella is a brindle Daschund mix puppy. Spot is a Border Collie Terrier puppy that is quite chill.

Big Momma is another Boxer mix puppy that is laid-back and ready for cuddling.

Freckles is on the left and is the brother to Dottie, a Border Collie Terrier puppy that we posted on Friday.

Daphne is an Old English Shepherd mix who is full of life (and one I couldn’t take my eyes off!) She has already found her new family, but I couldn’t resist showing such a scruffy pup!

Have a great Monday!
