Dog Photographer Nashville, TN - French Bulldogs

Last week I blogged about the Bird’s. They have two french bulldogs, LeRoy and Stogie. Since originally I only shared one photograph, I wanted to return with more. Like my Benny, these Frenchies have several names. Leets and Bogie are their most used nicknames, which I feel are completely fitting. It always cracks me up to see the varying personalities of dogs - and this session did not disappoint! Enjoy and have a great weekend.

Wednesdays with Laura - Being Thankful

In two weeks, we will all be preparing for a Thanksgiving feast! It is one of my favorite holidays and although my family is not particularly decorative, I’m considering doing something special this year. I browsed Paper Source’s Thanksgiving decorations because they always provide creativity and inspiration. The “I am Thankful  For” note cards are a sweet idea and encourage everyone to share a bit of Thanks. You could also pass the sealed envelopes around so that everyone reads someone else’s thoughts. If you are feeling very creative, here is a project that will make each guest feel very special! With 35 family members, I’m not sure this is an option for me!

Thanksgiving is a time to give to organizations that help families in need. The Nashville Rescue Mission is collecting 1,000 turkeys to distribute to families. The Nashville-area Salvation Army is holding their annual Thanksgiving Day feast and  need people to donate dinners and volunteer their time. If you want a bit of exercise before the big meal, participate in the 16th Annual Boulevard Bolt, a Thanksgiving Day five-mile run/walk that raises money for the homeless in Nashville. As well, the Second Harvest Food Bank is always accepting food and donations and will help your company, community group, or school organize a food drive.

The Nashville Public Library recently implemented a Food for Fines program to help those struggling to feed their families this holiday season. Through November 24, each canned or packaged food item is worth $1, so pay your fines with food! Of course, if you don’t have fines, you are welcome to donate food too.

On a final note, Adrian Hitt Photography is thankful for all of our readers and clients and hopes everyone has a peaceful holiday!

German Shepherd - Dog Photographer Nashville, TN

Meet Hank. He is an 18-month-old German Shepherd farm dog on a beautiful place south of Franklin. Everyday he goes from farm to farm in Williamson County, living a life many dogs I’m sure would be quite jealous of. His mom runs several local farms and he’s able to join her in her work. This was such a great session as both Hank and Kathy are fantastic company. I loved that Kathy has various art throughout her house of all the dogs she has shared her life with; and I’m so honored she chose dog photography to capture Hank. Enjoy a few favorites! Thanks Kathy for such an enjoyable afternoon.

This porch is great and I wanted to capture the entire story it has to tell.

Kathy has a couple of silos on the property with resident owls. What a great place for a photograph of the both of them! :)

Wedding at the Parthenon - Nashville, TN Photographer

On a chilly day in October, Jeff and Sarah became husband and wife and what a great celebration it was! I absolutely loved this wedding. Between the two of them, there was so much thought put into every detail and Jeff did such an extraordinary job designing the wedding pieces. He owns a graphic design firm in Nashville and you should definitely check out his work! As you will see, he and Sarah both looked stunning and are absolutely crazy about each other. They were surrounded by so much love and well wishes from family and friends. All of which makes for a lovely day. Thank you for choosing me. I truly had a fantastic time. I wish you all a lifetime of love and laughter! Hope the Greek Isles were amazing. :)

French Bulldogs - Nashville, TN Dog Photographer

Okay, in my opinion, I think French Bulldogs are one of the FUNNIEST dog breeds to photograph! They are always snorting, blowing bubbles and making other noises that are their unique way of communication. So, you can imagine how excited I was to photograph TWO Frenchies. And to top it off, they have great names - LeRoy and Stogie. Our session was on Halloween so it was only fitting to do a photograph with a pumpkin - but note, not just any pumpkin, a pumpkin with a bird carved in it. Why is this important you ask? Well LeRoy and Stogie’s last name just happens to be Bird. :) Thank you to their parents for choosing me to photograph them. They are such a great couple and I’m so glad they wanted to be in the photographs as well! You must check out Dan’s website - he is a talented singer/songwriter and plays Nashville regularly!

Wednesdays with Laura

As some of you learned from our e-newsletter, Adrian Hitt Photography has a special new treat for our dogography clients. With every photography order, our clients will receive Granola Barks from Two Good Dogs, an all-natural dog treat made right here in Nashville. These delicious treats have a simple recipe–rolled oats and chicken–your dog won’t turn these down. Benny goes crazy over these! Check out the new website and find a store nearest you!

In other news, last week we hosted a Halloween costume contest for our lovely readers. We had several photo entries, and it was such a difficult  decision that we created two categories. The winner for the dog costume contest is Flossie, who is dressed as a bumble bee! I am impressed by Flossie’s stoic facial expression…a very serious, yet humorous portrait. Thanks Candace for sending in this photo!

The winner of the child and dog costume contest is Peyton! Titled “Three Monkeys” this photo definitely captures the fun-loving nature of this family. We also love how the dogs appear as though they are Peyton’s body guards–we know she is carefully watched over! Thanks to her mom Stacey for sharing this moment with us!

Thanks to all who sent us your photos! We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!
