July Awards!
Last month, Adrian entered a photo competition for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), an organization founded in 1978 that is solely dedicated to special interests and needs of wedding and portrait photography. It is home to thousands of professional photographers worldwide and hosts their annual competition to recognize outstanding photographers, of which Adrian is one!
Adrian’s “Urban Dog” photo won first place for the 8 x 10 Print Competition in the Animals/Pets category with a score of 90. She also had five additional prints receive Accolades of Excellence (all scores above 80). The competition received 1107 prints in 18 different categories from photographers worldwide. Congrats! Mo, pictured below, sure is a handsome fella!
This month, Adrian also received a Nashville Paw Readers’ Choice Award for a favorite pet photographer. Adrian has photographed several cover shoots and other editorial photos for the magazine and is very glad to work with an organization that promotes the human treatment of animals everywhere.
In regards to watching out for our animals, we wanted to remind everyone to make sure your pet food is safe. Recently, Adrian switched Benny’s food to Canidae, a holistic, all natural dog food that uses grade A ingredients. Benny started to act very lethargic and developed a cough that lasted for about two weeks. Adrian researched Canidae and discovered that there were similar complaints from other dog owners, She immediately switched him back to his old food and he no longer has a cough and is back to his normal energetic self. After this experience, she wanted to be sure that everyone researches their pet food to make sure it is safe. Thanks!
