Happy reTales Adoption Event This Saturday

It’s no secret we’re big fans of the mission of Happy Tales Humane, a non-euthanasia shelter operating out of Franklin. We even featured a few of their sweet pups during our 12 Dogs of Christmas in December (psst… Buddy, our 2nd Dog of Christmas, is still waiting for you to take him home)!

Now, you can shop at Happy reTales pet supply store to support Happy Tales even more! They supply specialty pet products and are located in the Maryland Farms Publix shopping center. This Saturday, April 27th, from 10a-4p, they are hosting their pet adoption fair where you can meet lots of sweet four-legged friends from Happy Tales Humane! There will be face painting, balloons, pet-related services, and of course, some special dogs (and cats!) you can add to your family!

Happy reTales is located at 214 Ward Circle off Maryland Way in Lakeside Center. You can find more information by checking out the Happy reTales website or their facebook page.

Old Dogs, New Pics: One Week Left to Enter!

My dear old dog, most constant of all friends.

WILLIAM CROSWLL DOANE

OLD DOGS
William Croswell Doane’s words have resounded again and again for us. So many clients share beautiful stories about their current or former pups, and it is always so clear that these four legged children add so much love to their families. They fill our hearts with joy in their presence, and the holes they leave behind in their absence let us know they can never be replaced. We know our time with them is short, and having a photo can be such a wonderful way to treasure them for years to come.

NEW PICS: MINI-SESSION DRAWING
On Saturday, May 11th, Adrian will be spending the day in sessions dedicated to capturing the memory of these cherished family members 10 years and older or those with a terminal illness. And the best part? We’re offering you the opportunity to win one of these special timeslots- a complementary session and gift print! Adrian is looking forward to giving to the dog lovers in our community in this unique and heartfelt way. More details about this drawing can be found on our website at www.adrianhitt.com/olddogs. Please consider passing the information along to friends and family so they can enter too!

To enter your dog, email us at olddogs@adrianhitt.com with your dog’s name, age, illness (if applicable) and 3-5 sentences about why your dog is special to you. Hurry, all entries must be recieved by April 30! You can also find more information on our Old Dogs, New Pics event page.

Greyhounds

Today we have 2 sweet pups for you! Jovie is a 9 year old greyhound who is both sweet and stubborn- Jovie knows when there are paparazzi around and like any well trained starlet, she makes them work for a photo! J-Boy is the younger sibling at 5 years old, and defers to his sister; he’s shy and likes to please the people around him. Enjoy a few photos of these two beauties and their dog mom Jennifer!

Gorgeous! Would love to see more from this shoot!

Jennifer McEwen - April 26, 2013 - 8:10 am

Thank you! We got some great shots that really showed off their beauty and personalities. :-)

Labrador Retriever Mix

We had so much fun meeting Sophie the Lab mix during our mini sessions! She is a trained therapy dog who has logged many hours visiting nursing homes and participating in after school programs helping kids with dyslexia become comfortable reading. She’s retired now, but at 14 years old, Sophie adores her mama Catherine just like a puppy. Enjoy a few photos from her session!
