On the 9th Day of Christmas…

In the iconic song, the 9th day of Christmas includes 9 Ladies dancing- so we’ve got a lady for you! Derby is a 1 year old Australian Cattledog mix, and she is eager to dance with you! Derby knows how to let her partner lead, and will be easy to walk on a leash. She is smart and ready to learn any new steps you’d like to teach her. She does like to be the number 1 dance partner, so if you’re looking for a great first furry kiddo, Derby might be the lucky lady for you. The Nashville Humane Association can let you know everything you need to know to fill your dance card with Derby, so contact them to take her home!

Jessalynn is the studio manager for Adrian Hitt Photography. She coordinates smooth operations behind the scenes and updates the blog on what’s the “woof” in the dog world. A Nashville native, Jess uses her degrees in communications and entrepreneurship to support creative business. When she’s not working, she can be found with paintbrush & power tools tackling home improvement projects, trying new recipes & crafts from Pinterest, and tossing tennis balls in the backyard with the main men in her life- her husband and their rescue dogs, Waffles & Rocco.

On the 8th Day of Christmas…

Basil is our dog of the day this fine Tuesday! A 1 year old Cattledog mix, Basil jumped out at us because he is a medium size dog with some of the physical features of a large dog (like his cute ears!). His 17 pounds makes him small and easy to transport to the park; he is very athletic and loves to walk with you and play outdoors. Basil loves to be around people in general, so if you’re looking for a social pup, this is might be your perfect match! Contact the Nashville Humane Association to add Basil to your holiday mix!

On the 7th Day of Christmas…

Meet our new friend, Ollie! Ollie is a 2 year old border collie mix, and he is long, lean, and athletic. He has lots of energy and would do great running around chasing a frisbee or a ball with you. He aims to please (he knows basic commands) and likes to be top banana, so Ollie would be a great fit for you if you want a dog who you can shower with all your love. He is also a graduate of the Humane Association’s PPAWS  program. If you’re ready to run with Ollie, then stop by the Nashville Humane Association’s website and take him home!

The 12 Dogs of Christmas: Day 6

Christmas started with a baby, so of course we have to show you some baby dogs too! Today’s dog is a brand new beagle named Roscoe. He’s the best kind of baby- he’s quiet, loves to snuggle, and is so happy to see you! His birthday is October 27th, so he’s only 7 weeks old, but he’s got a big personality already. Roscoe is expected to grow up big and strong to between 15 and 30 pounds. His current home, Love at First Sight, helps puppies like Roscoe who have come from unplanned litters find their new homes. If you’d like a little guy like Roscoe, please contact Love At First Sight in Sylvan Park and take him home with you(how sweet would he look with a bow near your tree!?).

On the 5th Day of Christmas…

…we give to you Mary! Mary, or Marian Farrow, is a sweet Rat Terrier who we just had to introduce to you! She is currently staying with our friend Sarah while she waits for a forever home. About 7 months old, Mary is ready to impress you and let you know she’s a fast learner. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and very well-mannered- she absolutely loves to hang out with both dogs AND cats. Mary is also spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. If your puppies (or kitties) have a sister on their Christmas wishlist, then head on over to snootygiggles.com or email snootygiggles@gmail.com to fill out the application and be one step closer to taking her home!
