Good Dogs

All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.

CHARLES M. SCHULZ

Meet Jack and Shelby. They are so cute and were both rescued by their sweet parents. I thought this quote fit perfectly! Jack was rescued off the road to Lynchburg, home of the Jack Daniels’ Distellary – hence his name! I loved these two of them.

Adrian Hitt is a nationally recognized, award-winning dog photographer who creates modern, playful works of art. Her interest in dog photography is founded in her desire to celebrate and encourage the deep bond that develops between human and animal, parent and dog. ASPCA Relief Efforts

Happy election day!

Whether you’re paying close attention to the presidential race or are just waiting for it to be over, there are many ways to express your patriotism. Last week, Hurricane Sandy left many residents on the east coast stranded, without power, and with plenty of damage to repair. Many pets were separated from their families in the storm, and others were injured or have since run out of food. The ASPCA has been working tirelessly to take care of the needs of our four legged friends in this time of emergency, providing food, clean water, shelter and medical care. Some reports estimate that in New York City alone, as many as 400 dogs have been found and are waiting to reunite with their families.

Want to make a difference? Consider donating to the ASPCA to help in the rescue efforts! You have 2 options to contribute: go to their website, or text PREVENT to 25383 to donate $10. It’s hard to imagine what it would feel like to have a member of the family missing in such an emergency. The ASPCA’s efforts are priceless in these situations, and we’re so appreciative to the workers and volunteers who are freely giving their time and love.  You can find out more about the relief efforts on the ASPCA blog or facebook page.

Jack Russells

Meet Mac and Shirley! How cute are they? They are Jack Russell Terriers and are so funny. I loved photographing them. These are my favorites!

Happy Howl-o-ween!

A very Happy Howl-o-ween to all the dogs! Did your dog dress up? Leave a comment and let us know. Benny dressed up … and I have to say it’s his favorite because no headwear was involved!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s SuperBenny!:)

This is what he did after I told him we were finished!
