I am your dog photographer for playful, modern works of art. Woof!

Commercial Dog Photographer

I have to say this was one of my favorite sessions! It might have something to do with the fact that their puppy, Dexter is a puppy version of my Benny.:)I plan on doing an entirely separate post just to show off Dexter and her Benny likeness. But for now, enjoy their dog family photos and her sweet sister Pinkerton, a Papillon.

Spending everyday with the inspiration behind her career – Benny a charming -and perfect- black mouth cur shepherd rescue. If you’ve always wanted Adrian to photograph you and your dogs, now is your chance! On Saturday afternoon, November 12 we are offering mini-sessions! This is our first time to make these available, so we’re very excited and they are filling up quickly. It’s $150 for the session with a $50 credit towards your order. This can include up to 2 dogs (need to live under the same roof) and their dog parents. These are perfect if you’ve always wanted Adrian to photograph your pups or if you just need updated photos. They also make great gifts! The mini-sessions will take place in south Nashville. Feel free to email us with any questions.

Caitlin is the studio manager for Adrian Hitt Photography. She keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes and frequents the blog with tips on what’s going on in the dog world. A recent graduate of Elon University, Caitlin holds degrees in both digital art and professional writing and rhetoric. In her spare time, she pens fiction novels, eats too many Twizzlers and sneaks down to the local animal shelter to snuggle with the all the playful dogs and puppies looking for a forever home.

Tricks and Treats

Happy Halloween! (or Howl-o-ween in our world.) To be honest, I think this is Benny’s least favorite holiday. I’m not much for the dressing up of dogs, but when it comes to Halloween, I just can’t resist! And Benny pretty much hates any and all clothing … especially if he has to wear something on his head. Unfortunately for him, the past two costumes have required headwear. (Check out Benny’s costume from last year. Definitely our favorite dog costume so far!) But, to his credit he played his part well and of course got treats! I don’t know if he’ll ever forgive me for dressing him up as his arch nemesis – the blasted squirrel.

Even though Benny is miserable here, I think he’s the cutest squirrel I’ve ever seen:)What did your dog dress up as? Would love to see photos! We hope your Halloween is piled high with treats!

Five Dogs

Photographing a family of five dogs was a new experience for me! Prior to this, the most I had photographed at once was four. I’m always up for a new challenge, and Pam’s pups were wonderful. We had such a great afternoon together. To me, it’s always interesting to see the different dynamics of a pack. Enjoy these for now! I’ll share more soon. Thank you, Pam – it’s always a delight to see you. Enjoy the weekend:)

Labrador Retrievers

Bella is a very special pup. She just celebrated her 9th birthday and what makes this particular birthday so special, you ask? Well, this trooper just recovered from two separate surgeries that removed cancerous lumps. Thanks to the oncologist at Nashville Vet Specialists and the love of her parents and dog sister, she is doing great! What a sweet and happy face:)Way to go, Bella!

Reese is also a Lab and Bella’s younger sister. They’re greeting me at the front of the yard. How cute is that?

And one last photo to share of this kind, dog family. They love their girls and I can definitely understand why!
