Litter Mates

More puppies for your Friday! This litter came into Love at First Sight this week and are looking for homes. They are beautiful lab mixes with some brindle coloring – and of course as sweet as can be. These pups were named by a group of 12-year-olds who volunteer at the adoption center – which is just so great!

Della Henry - April 15, 2010 - 2:20 pm

Hello, my name is Della Henry and I am interested in adopting a puppy. Do you have free puppies and if not, what is the cost? Please send me information concerning the puppies. They will have a loving, clean and comfortable home. We love animals. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

They all are adorable, please reply soon.

Adrian Hitt - April 15, 2010 - 2:49 pm

@Della – I’m so glad you’re interested! Just lick on their website above and they have lots of puppies looking for great homes! They aren’t free, but the adoption fee is very reasonable and is based on the amount of medical care the puppy has had. Thank you for choosing to adopt!

Harry Winston the Roan Cocker Spaniel

In case his name doesn’t give it away, Harry Winston is a love and maybe a little pampered. (But any good dog should be, right?:)) I met Harry and his mom last week for our dog session and had such a fabulous time! He is about 10 months old and such a gorgeous little boy. So gorgeous in fact, he is already entering AKC competitions. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

This hangs above his bed – very fitting for Prince Pouffy Paws (one of his nicknames!)

Andie - March 18, 2010 - 1:56 pm

I can’t stop looking at the first picture. My little one just melts my heart. Small correction, he goes with his groomer to compete in grooming competitions because of his markings and does come from a strong line of champions, but can not compete on the AKC level due to a very minor overbite. He is my “Diamond in the Ruff” (his official name).

Andi,
It was so fun to hear from Von Otto, the greatest mixer painter in the world. If he thinks your dog is cute it must be, however watch out he may strap it with bungie cords to the back of his motorcycle and take HW for a spin

Jodi Dinsmore - March 23, 2010 - 8:51 am

So adorable!! Congrats on the great pics! =)

Andie - March 23, 2010 - 12:45 pm

Mom, Von Otto is fab! I was telling him I thought of getting something done for Austin for Christmas. He suggested getting something for myself… He offered to do something with Harry Winston on it. Someday he will paint my Kitchen Aid so it looks as good as yours!

Kendra Lepak - March 23, 2010 - 1:06 pm

Kimberly Crocker - March 23, 2010 - 3:46 pm

Melissa - March 23, 2010 - 5:00 pm

Austin - March 24, 2010 - 7:27 am

They look good Sis.

Andie - March 24, 2010 - 7:30 am

Melissa- Lilly & Brody will completely love Adrian. You will too, of course because she is just fabulous. I am a little envious you’ll get to take them to that amazing dog park (thanks for tipping me off to it, it’s HW’s new favorite). I can’t wait to see your pictures, you’ll have to let me know when you are getting them done.

Traci - March 24, 2010 - 11:47 am

He is so cute! You have to bring him over sometime to see the boys. I love the picture on the top. Trust you to put a sign like that up for your dog… you always did stuff like that for Carter too! You’re going to be such a great Mommy someday (to kids not fur-babies)

Cindy Mancini PhD - March 24, 2010 - 11:51 am

I adore that first picture. It makes me just want to dive in and cuddle up with him. The Little Prince has gotten so big!

Stan - March 24, 2010 - 12:32 pm

You dog people are lucky… my cats wouldn’t be up for something like this. I like the one on the rock, the colors are great and it’s good to see the two of you together.

Dana H - March 24, 2010 - 12:35 pm

You two look so cute together. It has been ages, but I see you have been keeping busy. Your puppy is precious. I love all the pictures on the site.

Charles Harding - March 24, 2010 - 1:30 pm

Precious, precious, precious! He is just a doll and you look great too. I can’t wait to meet him some Sunday at brunch.

Al Graham - March 24, 2010 - 1:38 pm

It was good seeing you again. I like the one of him in the bed, but I know you better than that. You don’t let dogs on the bed, unless it’s a guys and you don’t realize he’s a dog at the time.

How cool! I think we are to come out and bring the girls. We will definitely stop by and say hello.

Rest in Peace, Dallas

Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really. -Agnes Sligh Turnbull

Isn’t that the truth? I found out this morning, that sweet, spunky Dallas – a Weimaraner Lab mix – was put to peace yesterday. I was fortunate enough to photograph her with her family this past November and I’m so glad to have met her. She had such beautiful markings and playful ears and the best demeanor. Dallas – may you have open fields to run and an endless supply of baked chicken and Cheerios (her favorite treat). I know you are greatly missed.

We are so incredibly blessed to have companions as perfect as dogs. Be sure to give yours extra hugs and kisses today.

What a sweet girl! They are lucky to have photos like that to cherish. Things like that make me really cherish our sweet girls. Thanks for sharing a sad (but beautiful) post!

Andie - March 17, 2010 - 6:43 pm

My thoughts and prayers are with that family right now. Loosing a cherished companion is such a hard loss.

Kerri - March 17, 2010 - 9:13 pm

Thanks Adrian for the lovely post. Dallas would be so pleased. She was an ever faithful companion that made us laugh and love. While we are terribly saddened, we are so grateful to have shared our lives with her.

olesia - March 18, 2010 - 7:00 am

My heart goes out to you having to say good bye to your little girl. God Speed Dallas !

Linda - March 18, 2010 - 8:51 am

Dallas was a beautiful girl and the photos are truly lovely. My heart breaks for her family. Fly like the wind Dallas…

Dog Wisdom – Roan Cocker Spaniel

When he just sits loving and knows that he is being loved, those are the moments that I think are precious to a dog; when, with his adoring soul coming through his eyes, he feels that you are really thinking of him. – John Glasworthy

I wish for more moments like Andie and Harry Winston are enjoying. Afternoons spent on the water under the warm sun with my pup. Does life get any better?:)
